Anyone have any thoughts on these irons, or if anyone has experience using them. Just saw them on sale at Golftown for $350.
any info is appreciated...

hey DQ, I have the 845u's for almost a full season now...I did some thorough research on them and tested out the clubs before buying and it all paid off....these 845's are very forgiving irons, getting the highest rating on the Maltby Playability factor....so far these irons have done well for me...especially on shots where I don't hit the sweet spot...it still goes a fair amt of distnace......
Some of the knocks I have on these clubs are that they only have avg distance, and I also find that the trajectory of the shots go much higher than my previous irons, the grips also are not that great...
But in the end, I firmly believe it's worth the value....for $350, u definitely can't go wrong with these clubs....

hey dq. i also have the 845U's and am very happy. the first thing i noticed was the ball path going higher than my previous starter set (RAM) but they were much more forgiving. you will get used to it though; i don't even think about it anymore.
i was fortunate enough to be able to try the clubs at an outdoor range at the dimarco tent sale. they were the right clubs for me but i had to get a real feel hitting off grass and not just off mats.
good luck.

Hi Jaydog,
Sorry to be off topic. Any idea when Dimarco going to have the outdoor tent sale again (probably next year). I am interested to buy a new iron set and would love to try it outdoor before buying.
Thanks,
Teck.

hey teck,
the sale was in mississauga some time in september. they usually have it every year so just keep your eyes/ears open for the next one. i'm sure someone will post a reminder when it comes again.
take care,
