Hello all,
A quick greeting message from a TGN newbie to the rest of the clan.
Been golfing for the better part of 6 years and was completely hooked after the first one. Played many courses around southern Ontario, the Maritimes, south of the border, and even in my hometown in India. (That was a blast!)
Gathered many stories along the way... like the time when a fox ran away with my ball! (Witness + photo = priceless! :D ) More on that later...
A few tidbits for now...
Best course I've played: The Links at Crowbush Cove, PEI
Most picturesque course: The Links at Bodega Harbor, Sonoma, California
Best score: 80 (some say that's also my IQ ;) )
Worst score: still counting...
First Birdie: Unionville's Par3 course
First Eagle: 10th hole, North Course, Angus Glen
Looking forward to hearing everyone's adventures in golf. Hope to meet some of you as well!
Warm regards,
Paul

ok, so which is it ... "80" or "83"? :)hi iyell4,
actually, the 83 at St.Andrew's was a better score due to the course rating/slope/distance. i guess i should have put "lowest score" for the parkview one versus "best". mea culpa.
Welcome Paul! So, where's the picture with the fox running away with your ball?? You know, I think someone else at TGN said that happened to them too! :)Hi EMS,
I'll have to find and scan them (no digi camera on that trip :( ), but I have one that my buddy scanned for me on that same course: Bell Bay Golf Club, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Send me an email and I'll reply back with the pic attached, as they are not posted online.
On a related note: Gretzky played there 2 days after we did. That would have been a sweet surprise!

oh yeah! my buddy, who is a TorontoNHLnut, was just salivating at the remote chance of meeting Gretz on the links. Would have been hilarious if the Great One had witnessed my fox-ran-away-with-my-ball golf story. Could have sold that to Mastercard for lotsa $$$$$ ;) :D
i have some hours to kill before a late Thanksgiving dinner. let's see if i can sneak on as a single. considering the weather... that's a brave proposition, but then again... we're all nuts, right?
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Regards,
Paul
