Although he did decide to make some last minute equipment changes I don't think he deserved to be the guinea pig. I felt it was a big slap in the face when Captain Hal gave Lefty a sleeve of Nike balls. Then to top it off he benched him and criticized him for his play when the whole darn team could only score 1 1/2 pts. on day 1. Absolutely the worst captain ever! Shouldn't have paired Tiger and him up to begin with knowing their history. U.S players were even scratching their heads with Hal's decisions. Phil should get his citizenship and play for Canada:D . I think we would appreciate him a lot more.

Phil deserves his criticism maybe more or atleast as much as others.......the equipment change had to be a bad move right before the Ryder Cup.......he was also along with Tiger, the go-to players and he performed terribly and should've been the ones to set the bar for the rest of the American players.....he only won one of his matches and if it weren't for him, Tiger would've won the two matches when they were paired together :D ........he even lost his singles match when that should've been one of the guarantee victories for the US......

Phil's not playing in the 84 Lumber this weekend and I just heard that he dropped out of the WGC - Amex Championship for next week.......i'm thinking he's licking his wounds and trying to get use to his clubs during that time!

No doubt Lefty has had a great year. Finishing 1-2-3-6 in the 4 majors is quite an accomplishment, but he CHOKED at the Ryder Cup. Whatever anyone accomplishes on tour has nothing to do with the Ryder Cup. Different format, scoring system and team play. I agree his timing on changing equipment was dumb. He wasn't even used to his driver or balls. He struggled in the Ryder Cup regardless of whom he would have been paired with. As to Captain Sutton's decision to pair Tiger together with him? Thats another debate on its own. He put all his eggs in one basket and the Europeans just kicked it over.

Personally I think Lefty was a bit of a moron and quite selfish.....Mickelson had a terrible year last year and Titleist stuck with him despite of it.....now he goes and has his career year this year and goes back to Titleist demanding more money...they did the prompt thing by asking him to take his demands and shove it up the u know what!...He was left with lil choice but to find the next best sponsor and of course now here he is!

He'll probably adjust to those new clubs and ball just cuz he is a good player...but right now his decisions and personality doesn't sit well with me!
