Here we go again! Couples, Tiger, Scott and Annika duke it out this weekend. 9 holes on Sat and 9 on Sunday. Good TV. Tiger vs Scott??? I like this duel. Two of the most promising young stars. Scott is said to have Tiger's swing of 2000!! Couples is the defending champion and has won 4 times. Annika finished 2nd last year and I think will take more than a few Skin's this weekend! Who do you think will win? I pick the Rookie, Adam Scott!

i saw some of today's coverage and was very impressed....with annika. i never really saw her play until the colonial but now seeing her again reminds me how great a player she really is. she hit more fairways than all the guys.

only 2 skins won for the front 9 with the other 7 carried over until tomorrow....uhhh today :rolleyes:

can't wait to see who wins.

watched the entire skins game on tv saturday...pretty exciting.....HUGE money/skins carried over tho...

Annika played decent..but she's at a huge disadvantage EVEN tho she hit the most fairways.....cause she's short of everyone by around 30 yards after the tee..so all the guys would only need a pitching wedge, while she still needs to use her 5 iron.or something like that.....and the course doesn't have much tough roughs..so the guys are fine even if they drove it on the rough.......basically if she's going to win..she's gonna need some miracle eagles...

so happy she sank the putt on the 9th hole to carry the money over...hehe..

i'm still hoping annika will win..hopefully she'll hit some miracle shots..

Hey AnnikaFan...I love your pictures. Great to see a fellow women golfer who is passionate about Golf. Annika is the best female golfer of all time. It will make this skins game that much more exciting. :)
I am still rooting for Tiger though. I hope he makes a run for it especially after winning that tournament in Japan. I want to see some of the old Tiger back! GO Get'em Tiger!

when tiger drove it in the water...a fan yelled out "he did it on purpose"..and the ABC commentators were commenting that whoever said that was stupid and obviously didn't know what s/he was talking about..haha so funny...

oh well..still a good year for annika...

some great golf with only 4 skins being won. says a lot about all the players. basically it was anyone's to win on the 18.

for the tiger fans out there. nice to see that he donated all his winnings today to charity. not a big deal for him but still a class act.

Hey Jaydog, I agree this was an exciting skins game with a lot of money on the line at the end.
Noback, you make a great point. No competitive player will deliberately put himself out of contention. Tiger makes mistakes too and he just hit a bad shot. I am sure that Tiger will have a much better year in 2005. And in time he will show that 'spectator' and other doubting fans that he has what it takes to regain the #1 spot on tour.

I was trying to squash the idea of some Tiger fan (in the gallery shouting he did it on purpose) making excuses because his god didnt win the event. Kinda like the Montreal Canadian fans of old. They always had a reason they lost, never that the other team played better. :nono:

Skins is a mostly lucky game of golf. You gotta be lucky to make a birdy at the right time. Like Couples said many times on the air, he can play some great shots throughtout a round but he also hits some no-so-good shots. As long as two ppl cut each other off, then you're still in it! Make birdy when the others make par and your're a winner!!:D

The Tiger got Skinned by Couples!!! No way Tiger hit his shot into the water on purpose...thats just ridiculous...it was windy and he hit a bad shot...too bad Annika didn't win any Skins...I actually thought Scott was going to run away with this after Saturday, but he played poorly on Sunday...oh well...
