which place do you guys recommend?
I like having the large oysters when I go, but I can't seem to find any place that still has that.

The one at club300 is really good. That's the only one I goto now. You get to make your own soup base and dipping sauce. Add $1 and they'll let you use the table grill. Its located north of steeles on old kennedy road.

Hot pot is like a chinese version of fondu. Basically, they give you a pot with soup base, meats, seafood and vegetables and you cook it yourself.

it's something you are missing out on!
like mulligan pro said it's chinese version of fondu...they bring you all sorts of MEAT, veggies and seafood. Asians like eating it in winter time cause it's cold out and eating this supposedly keeps you warm and the steam from the water boiling helps heats your house haha..

There's also Japanese Hot pot better known as Shabu Shabu or Sukiyaki (sweeter sauce) I think... it's been years since I've tried them.

I just tried a hot pot place at Midland and Finch, two plazas north of Finch on Midland. Pretty good. I didn't like the place across from Worldbowl (in Richmond Hill) as much.

Another 'Fun' kind of food that gets everyone busy is Korean BBQ. Where you have to grill all the uncooked meat.

yup! the meat in Shabu Shabu is so tender....mmnnn
and i love Korean BBQ too!!..except one time, i went to one where the restaurant has dim lighting..so i couldn't really see whether the meat i was grilling is done or not...so i think i undercook a lot of the meat...specially when my tummy didn't feel too good afterwards..@_@

Does anyone have any recommendations for good 'Chinese cuisine' restaurants in the Scarborough or Markham area? I personally don't like Hot Pot as much as just regular Chinese Cuisine. I think having to pay to cook your own food might have something to do with it. hehee
