We're meeting at my place between 9 and 930 then heading to the course as soon as everyone arrives. Hopefully tee off by 10.
Tee blocks, yardage markers, OB stakes, and pins are gone but we put rakes in most of the holes for flags.
The course is actually in pretty good shape considering no one has done anything with the maintenance in about 6 weeks. Fairways are good length now cause they cut em way too short all year. Greens are slow compared to normal but still the speed of most munys.
My golf fund is tapped so its finally time to use my PG membership before the snow flies.

I'm on MSN at the office, and I found my phone in my car last night in one piece.
As for picking up people, the only one I can offer a ride this time is Frank as I am on a very tight schedule this Saturday planning my girlfriends surprise party. I will be up at 7am getting the house ready and will be leaving at 8:15 to pick up Frank so we can be in Paris by 9:30 at the latest. I need to tee it up no later than 10 and be back home in Richmond Hill by 4:30 at the latest, so offering rides is going to take up too much time sadly.

Sorry I have been traveling back and forth to the Carolina's for the past 3 weeks and have been disconnected. I will be trying my best to get over there. I don't know if I will be able to get over their that early though. I will definitly swing by to drop it off and/or play later in the morning.

This trip to Paris was definitely one of the best times this year. Thanks for arranging it, Will and sorry I had to split so quickly. I made it back to Kitchener with about 10 minutes to spare, so I'm glad you got me out in the first group. Sure would have liked to come by your place afterwards with the rest of you guys. I now know where I'm going for the SuperBowl party!!!
Back to Paris for a moment, even though the place hasn't been maintained in 6+ weeks (I would argue it's been a couple of years...), it really was enjoyable to play. Something appealing to be playing to every green and not knowing how far it was (no markers) or where the hole was located (no pins) - I really liked that as you had to rely on your gut and you had to commit to the shot, even though you might have been second guessing your thoughts. Still managed to shoot 84 out there (lost to Barry by 1, damnit...), so I managed to put together a decent round.
What happened with the skins? How did everyone else play??

AlbertOk, maybe a bit more than a half dozen :D
I have no idea what possessed me to bring out my old driver, but I sure as hell paid the price as that dang shaft was a rubbery as an elastic band.
It was a darn good thing 3 of you were righties AND played R7's or else I could have lost a lot more. I liked Frankies driver, that skymark was a great alignment aid

Agreed on Paris' condition, the only thing that really messed me up on a lot of the holes was not having any pins to shoot at and a lot of the approach shots were blinded. Yesterday was a true test to ones ability in seeing just how strong your depth perception really is. Course knowledge was a huge factor, but that still doesn't leave out that good ball striking will lead to a low round, no matter what course you play. I'd think that with a little TLC and having a few of the holes re-worked that this course would be a solid contender for a few more TGN outings.
Anyone have 10 million I can borrow? With another 3 mill, I've got some great ideas for that track.
First one would be to completely BURN DOWN THE FOREST so I can get my balls back

77 with 1 double (where the rest of y'all tied) turned out to be a decent number. I was 1 over on the back nine without making a single birdie  :help: I have to thank RR for talkin enough to keep anyone in our group from having the ability to concentrate at any point. He even wanted a picture of a ten foot birdie putt on 17 which would have brought me back to even ..... I missed, but he got his pic.
The back nine skins came down to the closest to the pin on 17. Apparently I was the only one to have hit the green. I was 10'.
Thanks to those who came. I always had the same thoughts about the course Scotty did. It could be great .......... if

Heya Mark,
I got the shirt... how did you manage to get it to my bag without me noticing? I swear to god you must have done the ninja drop with that thing. One second I was helping Jason look for his ball, and when I walk back to my bag I see my shirt but no one in sight!?! Sorry I missed yah!
As for the course, I think it's a great layout that is in some need of some TLC. If I was a local there, I would definitely be picking up a membership there. It's shameful when poor management can take a good course and run it into the ground like that. :(

Thank You Will for letting us into you home. The Chili was AMAZING.. Thank your wife again for me, please. Thanks also for setting up the day. I agree with the majority, the course was nice, but.... Definately a test of feel. You guys seem like a great bunch of guys to play with, and I hope at he turn of the year, we can get together again
Thanks

Thanks to all the guys in the first group for making it a great day on the course. Thanks to Will for being a gracious host. For a course that hasn't been maintained in over a month, it was in really good shape. I could tell that it would have been a challenging course while it was open. Plenty of blind shots and elevation changes.
I started out well and then seem to just literally fall apart at the seems after the 8th hole. Suddenly I became tired, sluggish and my swing got lazy. It was a foreshadow of things to come. No wonder I got so mad I threw my first club.
The biggest lesson I learned on Saturday was that eating two bowls of good chili is only a bad idea when it's your last meal before the flu sets in! :help: I'm not saying it was Willy's chili but I would have picked anything else to eat had I known. On the ride home I napped a bit and woke up to a pounding headache. Not 30 seconds after getting in the door I started tossing my cookies and a fever quickly took over. It's been all downhill from there. Just today I'm crawling out of bed. This morning I had half a box of stomach pills for breakfast and washed them down with a bottle of Pepto.. I feel like complete crap.
With this weather and the way I feel, I think my season is over for now. Thankfully it ended on a fun round with some great people.
