Not to threadjack, but why does anyone need a backup set of irons? Does your first set get tired?

What do you do if there are rocks in the sandtraps/rough? Do people actually bring a separate bag with the "beater" clubs ?

I wish I could do that. And I wish I knew every time there was a rock just below the surface of the grass waiting to take a chunk out my iron. :nono:

BTW, what about a backup for the backup set? And that set might need a backup some day too you know.

I have a set of Wishon 550CB's that I'm willing to get right of (would still be playing these but girlfriend got a deal on some Titleist 690CB's). These are a great forged set. It isn't an OEM, but still awesome none the less...just regripped with a golf pride cords...8.5/10 (normal wear)....$300...3-AW.

Wishon makes solid stuff Will, and $300 is a steal for the 550's.

GRT I have a set of 550C and trust me those are solid irons. Not much offset on them and the 3-5 irons have penetrating low ball flight, great for into the wind.

Especially if you own a wagon or SUV where people can see in the trunk - best not to have the high-end Callaways and Taylor Mades in plain sight.

would that include the shipping up here to North bay? I wouldn't mind seeing pics of the actual set. Thanks sdcfan18.

Also, for those curious minds, I have relatives and close friends who come to visit from Alberta and I wouldn't mind having a respectful second set of irons for them to use instead of the crappy rentals from courses. My brother came to visit in the fall and man, the set he had to rent was awful. He still used mine, but to have to pay 20 bucks to rent a set of crappy clubs is just not worth it in my mind.
