Does anybody know why I lose my internet connection when I am on Ebay?

This only happens when I am on Ebay. It varies, it may be within one minute, it may be within 5 minutes, but I always lose my connection for about 2-3 minutes and then it comes back.

I do run Adaware but that does not seem to help. It is very frustrating especially when I am trying to bid on something.

Hi Eddar,

Can you tell what kinda of connection you're using? (cable, dsl, dial-up) and also what browser you're using; IE, netscape, firefox, etc. your OS; win95, win98, winxp, etc.?

I have a cable connection and use IE with Windows 2000.

is it just eBay eddar? have you contacted your internet cable company?

Yes, it is just Ebay. I have no problems whatsoever on any other site.

I also sent an email to Ebay and they told me that it could be some cookie or something like that, but as I have stated, I use Adaware to clean out my system, I also run Norton Antivirus frequently.

I thought it would be some cookie issues too. Have you tried clearing your cache and cookie? have you looked at your security settings? try and install firefox and try to test there too. let us know.
