Stumbled across this site and and really enjoy it. I guess its because its somewhat local. Lots of good info here. Also new to message boards, so once I get it all figured out I'll probably start posting a lot more.:)

Welcome. Where are you located? How much golf do you play in a typical year? Tell us more.

Thanks for the welcome. I live in Goderich, an hour north of London and forty minutes north of Grand Bend. Haven't really added up the rounds of golf I play in a year, but usually play at least three times a week. In fact just heading down to my local course now for a quick round. Enjoy the day.

Welcome aboard. Goderich is a nice town. I used to fish a lot up there, not so much now. Anyone who has not been to Goderich should visit there. As many times as I have been up that way I have never golfed there.
Have you golfed at the new course between Clinton and Goderich, Woodlands I think it is called. If so is it a decent course?
I am located south of London in St Thomas, and as I said I have been to Goderich many times. Benmiller, Falls Reserve......FISH ON:)

Your right Golfbum, it is called Woodlands and is a great course. I really enjoy playing there although I'm a member at another club.

All right, I am going to have to make a point to come up and play there next year, get the boys out for a road trip!
Woodlands always has a display at the London Golf Show so I will look for some specials from them next Feb.
What course do you belong to up there?

What course do you belong to up there?I belong to the Maitland Golf & Country Club. Very handy location for me. Throw the clubs in the car and five minutes later I'm teeing off, unless its busy. The Maitland river runs right beside it so there is lots of fishing available.

That's the 9 hole course isn't it? I have walked on it to get to the river, never played it. I have caught some nice Steelhead just upstream from the clubhouse.:)
