Myrtlewood Villas is a great place. Nice big condos and really near the clubbing district and you can actually stagger home after spending time at Kryptonite, Froggy Bottoms etc. Buddy of mine staggered home after knocking on half-dozen doors (all the condos look alike!) like 5am in the morning. He said he passed out on one of the greens along the way home and woke up when some deer ran past him after the sprinklers went off.

Watch out for the cab drivers 'cause they're known to take tourists for a spin.

There's a huge BassPro Shops nearby also and a very short drive to the beach. Stay away from the Freaky Tiki club. LOL

Don't forget, you're in the Bible Belt area so don't be surprised if some bars close early, esp. in early March which is part of the low-tourist season. Some restaurants close at 9-10pm during this time of the year so plan your day around that else it's McD, Wendys and the King.

Have a great trip whoever's going!

do we need to provide our own transportation down (flight)
or is there a carpool in the works?

I might be interested depending on the total cost will be.

There will definitely be a car pool arranged for those interested. I've still got room for one more in my car.
