another possibility might be "jordan-itis". he might feel he's "been there done that" and try out for the nba (i hear he's got a decent layup)...

Yeah, you're maybe right, motivation will eventually become a factor for him.......like it kind of did for David Duval.

Yeah, you're maybe right, motivation will eventually become a factor for him.......like it kind of did for David Duval.I'm not sure that motivation will be come a factor until he hits 19 majors. 18 is his stated goal and I have to think that the next decade will be focused on that.
It is amazing to see his stats from this last year - 188th in driving accuracy but 6th in greens in regulation. He fun to watch just for the sake of him being able to get it on the green from almost anywhere. If you recall some of his bad drives from this year, and the past, he can end up in some pretty tough places and yet still pull off a GIR.

I think finding enough time in his day for that elusive signature he must sign to appease one of his gazillion fans.:help:
That or keeping Sir Williams in line for another season.:D

I think Tiger's biggest weakness is his Short Game along with his Putting. Yes, he's driving the ball all over the place but if you watch him play sometimes, it seems like he would rather drive the ball 320 yards into the rough and have a shot inside 100 yards, than lay up to 150. He even said that he focused a lot of time into his new swing changes and didn't put as much time as he liked into his Short Game, pitching and chipping from 30-20 yards. You know he's definately going to work on that part during his off season. With all that said, he still needs to make those putts.

Agree and disagree. While Tiger does need to layoff on the driver a bit and focus more on getting into scoring distances, his putting is just flat out phenomenal. Like any other player, Tiger can miss the short ones and will occassionally get the odd hiccup here and there. But as far as his distance control and getting it done under pressure, nobody has been getting it done better since his emergence from the ranks of NCAA where even there he was a force too strong for the majority of the players.

Ok dude.....I've seen some of the girls you chat with on MSN and YES, they are good looking girls, but they are also like 16.
But in NO way are they anywhere near in compariosn to Helen....come on now, get yer head out of the clouds and focus back to reality here. If you think that Helen isn't hot, then I'm going to have to reconsider you as my friend as I might be getting scared now :p :D

It's very rare bro that Tiger takes time for anyone to offer up an autograph. His biggest pet-peeve is when the adults ask, but he's always willing to do it for the young kids.

I think Tiger's putting is vastly overrated, If you look at his stats for the last few years he is well down the lists.

He may not be top of the putting stats, but he has the uncanny ability to make putts when he really, really needs to - Nicklaus was the same.

Driving accuracy will probably be his biggest issue but I don't think that bothers him much!

Tiger has just (or is about to) purchased 10 acres of ocean front property in Jupiter, Florida. I guess he decided his 4000 Sq Ft bachelor pad at Isleworth is just not big enough now that he has a permanent roomate. Can't blame him, how can you get by with 7 bathrooms for 2 people??
I heard he picked up the property for 40 Million and is apparently building a brand new mansion + guest house + pool house + ??? I am sure doing all this stuff off the course will start to impact his game somewhat. A big project to oversee.

heehee foreonthefloor have you mistaken this for a joke thread?
I like Mikie too but I think he has a lot to work on to be back at the peak of his game. Tiger already won the slam in my opinion. I think there are others that agree with me on that.

we'll see :fingersx:
IMHO Eldrick did not win the slam, he needed two chances to win the masters.(insert agruement here)
Now back to the thread.
I hate Eldrick for many reasons (to many to list) but to say he has ANY weakness is just foolish. Have you ever noticed everytime the announcers say "that's an impossible shot" Woods sticks it to a couple of inches from the cup. He will be just fine in 2006, unfortunately.
Oh by the way

I guess statistcally it would be driving. Tiger is a phenomonon though and when he really needs to hit one he seems to be able to. Similar to Nicklaus...when Jack needed a key shot, he pulled it off. This is why players like Nicklaus and Woods (I would say Hogan too, but I wasn't around then and there is no footage either) are elite over the other great players. Let's face it anyone would love to have Tiger's weakest points.

Hate Tiger? I can understand (and agree with) hating the media for making everything golf related "the Tiger show". But hating Tiger? Hmm
I think the commentators ALWAYS say a shot is impossible and MANY of the PGA Tour pros make a mockery of their comments by hitting great shots, its not all Tiger.
The sooner the producer in the tour van realizes that TW isnt the only player on the tour, the better.
Some of us even have OTHER favourite players. :hush:

I totally agree about the media, but I still hate TW.
Woods will have a good year I just hope a couple of other guys have great years.
