Hi everyone,
As I've recently moved from Scotland to Port Perry, I thought it's about time I introduced myself. I've been playing golf since I was a kid - many, many years ago! I'm not a long hitter but I can break 80 on a decent day. I'm happy to play 6500 yards but I don't find 7000+ enjoyable.
TGN seems to be a great site, and I'm looking forward to playing some golf in the new season... one thing I will miss is playing 12 months of the year - the seaside courses in Scotland usually remain open all year. Yes, we get crappy summers there, but also very mild winters.
Happy Xmas!

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I've played most of the famous courses in Scotland but I'll have a lot to learn about golf on this side of the pond.
BTW, I was at the ACC on Monday night for my first ever hockey game - and I was cheering on the Blue Jays!

abz-pete, welcome to TGN and PP.
(stereotypically speaking), if you're from Scotland, you better be a good golfer ... it's like being from Canada, you better be a decent hockey player (and live in an igloo). :)
