I may be able to make it, I'll log into my scheduler at work when I get home tonight and will let you know by 7ish.

I'm out, can't get out of a few things in the morning.

Maybe we can arrange another time later on in the week?

Yes, that is fine. Please let me know what time of day is best for you. They have a special simulator rate before 5PM, but we could also play one evening. I am pretty flexible.

So, how was it? Feedback? Big winners?

Inquiring minds want to know.....and preferably from Shake99, no offense :D

I couldn't join this group at 10 but I did "play" Troon from 1-2 at Oasis. The facilities were fairly empty for a Holiday Monday and it was a little cool in there (I had to warm the golf ball). The simulators were a little dark, however, since I haven't stepped into a simulator in 8 months I'm not sure if I was suffering from snow blindness or something. All in all $30 was an hour well spent in my opinion.

I chose Troon becasue I though all that all that desert might warm me up.

Yes, Rick and I had a good time too. We played the Hawaian resort course at Mauna Kea. I managed a 77 (5 over) including an ugly bogey on the easy Par 5 10th when we both got greedy and tried to go for the green in two!

I have not played Troon yet - maybe I'll try that course next time.

I'm still trying to work around the schedule, so we'll see. But I'm hoping that $30/hr is not per player.....I've played at many indoor sims including the Golf O Max's and they were never that high.

No, it is not per player. The maximum weekend rate for non-members is $45/hour per simulator ($30/hour in the week) which works out to just more than $11 per player if you play a 4 ball.

My feedback comments a little late my job and creditors have been insisting that I work. LOL

Overall was a good day although I left my game in the trunk of the car. I concur with corchard that the lighting is on the dim side, next time I will NOT wear photogray lens in there. Hitting in the simulator takes some adjusting and I will certainly give it another try.

Did I mention that I was +34 from the tips (troon Arizon) at the simulator after 18. Putting takes a little getting used to even with the 6 foot gimme.

Next time try it with "auto putting". The computer figures out your putts for you once your on the green. Putting on a sim is poor at best and the auto putt saves a lot time.
