Things you'd like to see in 2006

This is along the lines of the breakout year thread. I didn't want to threadjack so I started a new one...

What I'd love to see this season:

Jason Gore and John Daly make the Ryder Cup team.
David Duval keeps his tour card.
Freddy Couples win the Masters.
A 3 way tie coming dow the stretch at the US Women's Open between Wie, Pressel and Creamer.

#1 I'd like to see John Daly or Ernie Els win the masters.:D

#2 PGA actually care about golf in North America and give the Canadian Open a better chance of drawing more top 25 players.

#3 Better looking LPGA players :rolleyes: jj

#4 Someone to knock Tiger off his game! or at least make it more interesting coming down the stretch

#5 CHEAPER GREEN FEES IN THE GTA - AND LESS PEOPLE PLAYING IN PRIME TIME WEEKENDS/TWILIGHT

#6 A Canadian Open held at Eagles Nest - lets see if it really is that challenging for them!

#7 Another Canadian to step up and become a hero (will it be Ian Leggat or Jon Mills or someone else? - give us a homeboy to cheer for!

The LPGA is getting better. Natalie Gulbis is pretty hot along with Paula (I won't go into the irony of her last name) Creamer, and Morgan Pressel is pretty cute.

GTA green fees are high, but with the amount of new construction you may see a rate freeze or maybe reduction as the courses compete for our $.

People said the same thing about Jack Niclaus for 25 years and the only thing that knocked Jack out was his age. I think Tiger is in the same boat.

Agree with the Canadian Open. How about in late May or early June, a nice event before the U.S. Open.

Oooops....forgot to mention John Mills....I think he is our next golfing hero. Weir is done. He has admitted in interviews he wants to spend time with his family. I'm sure Mikey will win here and there but overall he won't be a factor.

1. I'd like to see a sudden death playoff at every GRT event which of coarse I'd love to be playing in. :cool:

2. I'd like to see Sean O'Hair win the Masters and share the celebration with his father. :D

3. I'd like to see DLIII win the US Open and get out of this funk he has with not playing well with Tiger in the group. :confused:

4. I'd like to see gas go back to .50 a litre and stay there. :rolleyes:

5. I'd also like to see the USGA put a hold on the state of equipement where it is. No further advances in distance with golf balls or drivers, please. :nono: I feel it will only make too many great courses obsolete if manufacturers keep making the ball go farther.

#1 something about a fight between Tiger and a lightning bolt, and the lightning wins

#2 Weir to win twice (one being the Canadian open)

#3 Tim Finchem to force players to play every event on tour once within 5 years

#4 Annika to win the slam

#5 John Daly gets into a fight with a lightning bolt, and the lightning wins

#6 The Canadian open has the best tournament in PGA history and gets made the fifth major.

#7 At the end of the golf season Mike Weir joins the Leafs as a winger and leads them to Stanley cup victory:D

Because PGA Championship is being played in Medinah this year.

Last time the PGA was played in Medinah, Weir was in the last group on Sunday with Tiger, got overwhelmed and shot 80, and finished way back.

If he wins, he will exorcise his demon and will be a redemption for him.

#5 The Goose goes into the final round of the US Open with a 3 shot lead and brings his swing with him this time.

#8 I'd like to see myself play 175 rounds this year, and I might just be able to do that. (Prime time holidays again this summer :p )

lone white speck against the sky being covered by the camera-man ad nauseum. if I want to see a white speck flying thru the air I will step out my
front door and watch white specks of seagull s**t falling thru the
air in the harbour. How about some shots that follow balls as they
draw/fade or at least show some of the course as the ball tracks.

I agree, lets have tiger struggle to reach a 650+yrds in two only using a 250cc wood.

I wanna see a Par 5 700+yrd hole......that's stupid far. I think the best i could shoot on that hole would be a dbl bogey. I think the PGA should consider designing more challenging holes, rather than designing longer holes.
For example, the Mercedes Open.....wait that was last weekend. Sure got into the players heads
