Looking for any Scotty Camerons that came with either of the following finish,

Oil Can, Gun Blue, or Teryllium finish.

The worse the condition, the better it is. Let me know what you have. Thanks.

Have you asked Swaain for pics of his Catalina? It's a definite candidate for a re-finish...I've seen it and can vouch for the condition.

I'd think once it was re-done, it would look sweet.

I pitched Jeff for info yesterday, but he hasn't got back to me yet. What would you say needs to be done to the Cat to refinish it.

Needs to be sent back to Scotty Cameron.....well worth a refinishing candidate if you ask me. I think the Catalina w/Gun Blue is a sweet looking putter.

Sorry for the thread Jack Tom.

No problem. BTW, FYI....if you get it sent back via reseller (GT, NB, Dimarco's), it gets a refinish job. If you want to restore it, you have to go through ScottCameron.com website. That's for the potential buyers out there.

The Titleist refinish centre does a great job but you won't believe what the restoration dept can produce. I'll show pics in a month or two.

Hey WB, if I send back a Scotty for refinishing will they insist on reshafting, regriping and removing the weight thats been added to my Scotty?

As Im only 5'7", I cut down all putters to 32.5". Once thats done, it needs to be head weighted to bring back the swingweight.

I dont want all this work undone but the Scotty in question was abused by the previous owner (who didnt use a head cover) and could use refinishing.

Also, I want it back before April 1st.

GRT,

How did you add weight to the club? If you go through the custom shop via Scotty Cameron, you can insist what length you want regardless of what the ScottyCameron website tells you. The dept quotes a 40 day lead time plus shipping but they usually have it back between 20-30 days.

Hey guys, sort of a related question. If I have an older ping putter in good shape, with flat metal on face, but wanted a grooved milled type face, is that something that can be done?

If so where, what type of places. I am not implying scottys, I know thats just for them.
Cheers for any help, Shark:$

Hi, can you give me more info on what a refinish through Titleist inolves. I appreciate the restore, but I have just picked up a used caliente scotty, and am only looking at the basics.
Is titleist more inexpensive, the price list is way up there at scottys for me.
I would appreciate any advice you can give?

Unfortunately, no this doesn't help, I appreciate it, but I have read this thread before it is all about restoration, through scotty cameron studios.

Thats why I say in my post that I am looking for info not on restoration. I say I am looking for info on titleist 'refinish' which several members have referred to.
One person said, please note the difference, if you send it back to titleist you get a refinish, nice, but no comparison to scotty studio restoration etc etc etc.

Its a cheaper possible route I am looking for. I could have bought a brand new model of mine for $150, I paid less for used. To then spend over $200 to restore doesn't make sense, I could have bought the new one and saved money.

Still looking for any help? Please
