I'm selling a mint condition set of 2005 RAC TP irons. Selling just the heads. A few members have seen the condition (like new) and can vouch for it.

I'm asking $650FIRM. I can shaft it up for another $100 and you get your choice of either Dynamic Gold R300 or S300.

Please no tire-kickers. Serious inquiries only. I will provide pictures to whomever is interested. Please PM me your email address.

I acaully want the tp irons for next season but dont want them used unless about 9.5. If you could send some pics that would be great! Would be interested but would definitly want to get them shafted. Would you be able to grip them too? will you be doing it or will you send them to someone to get it done? Also would i still be able to take them somewhere to get the lie and stuff custom fit?

Hey Man, I just looked on ebay just for the heck of it and they seem a bit cheaper. Most of them are around 550-700 with shafts. The one set is 600 with the red/black golf pride grips and in mint condition.
STILL INTERESTED!
THAT would be considered Thread Crapping... better brush up on the rules for BST section...

Thread crapping is not allowed. Please refrain from posting messages in buy/sell/trade threads to the detriment of the buyer or seller.

These are as mint as used clubs can be. No dings, gouges. NOT EVEN bag chatter.

I'm sure the clubs are cheaper on ebay as are 95% of what's being offered here. Have a look at my past transactions and I'm sure you'll think that my prices has been set pretty fair. Unfortunately, on ebay, the product's condition can only be dictated by the photography skills of the seller and may not truly represent the actual conditions of the clubs. So, if being able to inspect the club before purchasing, dealing locally, not getting surprised with additional brokerage, taxes, etc is something you look forward to, then I guess you can say there should be a "premium" placed on the price over Ebay.

This is not the first time Gligster The Amatuer has done this. He did it to me as well!:nono:

Please refrain from crapping on Seller threads. IMO If you don't like the price then the decision is yours, you can look else where, PM the member, or just keep quiet.

Its cool. I got the same speech from another potential buyer about my Rescue Dual TP a few months ago. I told him it would be idiotic of him to pay more money to me if he could purchase it elsewhere for cheaper. Well, guess what?!? I got a message asking if my Rescue was still available from the same buyer just the other day and this is two months after he gave me the ebay speech.

NOT cool bud......these types of comments should be left for PM between yourself and the seller. WB is a stand up guy and couldn't see him selling anything for less than what he has stated/rated.

Although I doubt those comments will earn me any brownie points to make a swap for our heads :D

Since you're just wondering on eBay for the heck of it..

600 CDN (I am assuming) is price of clubs then you have to add shipping to Canada which equates to $50-60 USD = $60-70 cdn and with custom taxes (14-23%) these days, thats going to spike your costs well beyond $700. You also have a wait period and you are not sure if the conditions are mint.. now with Ted you can meet up with him and see for yourself how mint the clubs really are.

PS. I am hoping for brownie points on my scotties too .

As a point of reference of how good a deal this is Gt Markham have a demo set that is pretty beaten up - for some reason people felt the need to even pull the shaft labels off? Anyway they are selling for $898 plus 15% tax = $1032.70!!

If your seriously considering this club, I don't think you'll do better.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. Somebody just buy the damn irons. Hahaha.

Scotty, no trades unfortunately. You know I already have a set coming. Haha.

Shane, you know you're getting a deal and a half on an "undistinguishable from NEW" Scotty already. Thanks for the kind words though.

Hey Westbeach,

Im terribly sorry for that i didnt think people would take so much offensence but i do apologize 100%. Also after golfnewbie said i do understand that the irons you are selling are at a really great price and it would be tough to find a better deal. As for ebay i totally forgot about the shipping (which would be alot of money for a set of irons) and then the taxes.

I would really like to see pictures of these irons as i might be wanting to play these next year as there one of the top irons on the market.
If i do buy these where do you think i should go to get them fit and I would like to make sure all the numbers are good like the lie and lofts and all that stuff i dont know anything about. How much do you think it would cost to have this type of service done?

Once again I am very sorry for what i said and as you can see I removed it from my previous post. Westbeach I truly apologize and wont make the J@(K@$$ move again.

Terribly Sorry

Mike

Hah

Don't worry bout it, we're all cheap inside :hush:. Just that this deal is already awesome. With only the heads, you can get it customized any way you want to (whereas on eBay, many of them are already in a set specifications, which I made a mistake buying.. I bought one with a weirdass specification and I ended up paying restocking fees so I wouldnt get a negative). I am sure ted will help you out anyway possible, he helped me out when I first got into the game a couple mths ago :D.

Yeah, Im hoping he can help me out because i would really like to get them custom fit too.

Titleistfan, What else have i said im interested in. I have about 4 things im looking for next year, looking for them all to be in good condition and most of the time people buy them before me.. Im not saying im going to buy anything right away because i would like to wait a bit closer to the begining of the year before i make a big purchase. I dont know why you'll calling me a tire kicker

Glingster, you really have 3 viable options:

Buy a new set from an Authorized TM reseller. You can get custom fitted, then order through the retailer and TM will build to your specs. Most Costly.

You can buy USED with shafts/grips installed and get them fitted as well. There may be a charge for the fitting plus a charge for any adjustments. Ie. lie angle change, length of shaft, resizing grip, or even changing the entire shaft itself. Cost can be moderate to high if there are a lot of adjustments required.

You can buy just the heads as I've offered. This way, its way more tailored b/c you choose what shafts you want in them, what grip you want, what length the shaft is. One of the MAJOR reasons I'm selling just the heads only is because the clubs are for serious players and I usually find serious players being very specific with their equipment in terms of type of shaft, lenght, etc. Thats why I didn't offer the shafts that I had in them b/c odds are, it wouldn't be the right one for the potential buyer.
Cost varies depending on what shafts you pick and what grips you pick.

Jeff Swain is a good fitter and I think he works part time at the Golftown Woodbridge location.

BTW, if you are fitted to play standard, then any of the above options are good...It would just depend on how much you want to spend.

Is there anywhere i could go to find out if the S300's would be one of the best shafts for me because it would be cheapier if i paid you the extra 100$ and got them with the shafts.

westbeach
Jan 18, 2006, 04:29 PM
www.truetemper.com (http://www.truetemper.com/)

the specs are all there.

What shaft are you playing with now? You can always go to any retailer and try hitting the club with the S300 shafts (as long as they have stock). No harm in trying.

What do you think the best steel shaft for irons would be to put into the tp's

The best steel shafts to put into the TP's are the shafts that fit you best. At the very least you'll want to try True Temper and Royal Precision Rifles. What shafts are in your current irons?

I would suspect that he has the Hogan stock shaft in the 3 flex (reg) I believe from his signature.

As far as the tire kicker comments....I must admit that from the threads I've read, and that includes almost all of them, you seem to show interest in alot of the items for sale....I mean didn't you even want to buy some guys Honda at one point?

As far as thread crapping...I've learned that same lesson the hard way...right Racmbs? ;)
Just saying you might want to pick and choose your spots to jump in....if you'r e really serious, I find PM's depict a greater sense of interest in the item than flogging any further comments in the general forum

Just my 2 cents

Water under bridge my friend, let's fight on the golf course next time instead for some skins

With all due respect to Tom, let's all move the discussion on shafts and what not to another thread, the poor guys thread has already been comprimised as it is.

Sorry Tom!!
