I run three tournaments a year and was just wondering if anybody else runs any tournaments.(not a plug, my tournaments are private events)
I think some guy named Ron has run 1 or 2, anyone else?

15 per year for me for the past 5 years (including road trips) and 1-4 for the previous 15 years. Loads of work with even more satisfaction when things turn out well. That being erveryone having fun on game day.:D

I run one event myself for the MS Society, and have about 50 other tournaments that are run at our course, that I end up having to almost run because they don't don't know what they are doing.

I schedule to run 10 tour events but end up adding a few more casual outings for my crew.
Its a lot more work than most people realize but all very enjoyable. My favorite job is setting pin placements for the tournament and making the pin sheet.

Yeah, I can stick the pin in the least accessable spot I can find making certain theres no way to get the ball under the hole preventing any birdies. :nono:
Nah, I set the pins in the most fair yet challenging place I can find on the green where the pin isnt right now (to prevent excessive wear on the green as the pins positions are selected the day before the tourny.) and where hopefully every direction from 3 feet away is a fairly flat putt.
I always felt if you stuck one in close you shouldnt be faced with a 10" breaker from 3 feet away.
Then when Im done selecting the pins I make enough copies of the pin sheet for all competitors so everyone knows how big each green is, how far on from the front each pin is and how far each pin is from the closet side of each green. Just like the PGA Tour. :D

I'll run 5-6 a year and I always hate doing it but in the end it always turns out great and ends up being very satisfying.

I run a number of snowgolf events/tournaments and a championship tournament starting in 2007. Some events are for corporations and others are for charities. All are open on a first come first serve basis to whomever would like to compete. Can't think of anything I would rather do-fun fun fun!!!
Membership is free to golfers right now if you would like to join email: tina@snowgolf.ca

I run 22 events per year plus some extra outings for fun. The thing I like the best is the members are customers at the beginning of the year and friends by the end.
I do feel priviledged that so many entrust something as important as planning their golf season to me.

I run my events for corporate clients so it is sometimes a little stressful because they are putting more pressure on us to get more golfers, sponsors, etc. But like I said, come the day of the tournament it is a great time.
