I was having a debate with my buddy about how low can the top 4 world ranked players go in a 4 man scramble??? Being right now its Tiger, VJ, Retief and Phil I said that they can go as low as 50 on a par 72 course (birdieing every par 3 and 4 and eagleing every par 5) playing from the tips on any given PGA setup course excluding the Majors. He says NO WAY! What do you think? My argument is if you put those 4 guys together and give them 4 chances each time while choosing the best shot every time dont 'you think they can do it?

With ease, they would not even break out a sweat! In the Shark Shootout two man teams have scores of -12 to 13 in a two man scramble
Put J.B. Holmes on that team and they might eagle some par 4's too :D
Actually if it was Par 72 with 6 Par 3's, 6 Par 4's and 6 par 5's they could shoot
48, with 6 birdies on the par 3's they are -6, with 6 birdies on the par 4's they are now -12, with 6 eagles on the par 5's they are -12, that adds up to -24 or a smooth 48
Problem is, Tiger would not talk to Phil Vijay or Retief. Vijay would not talk to Phil and Retief likey would not talk to any of them either! :D

I have a friend who told me about a 4 Man Scramble that used to be held years ago near Port Huron MI. He said his buddies went to it once, shot -15 and never seen the prize table! Teams were -19 to -22. There was no handicap restrictons, so teams were made up of guys with + indexes. Imagine shooting -15 and not even getting a sniff of the prize table :(
