Hi All,
I have been reading your forum for a few weeks now and finally got around to joining. I just moved to London ON this winter so I'm beginning my research on golf in the area. I currently play to a 15 ish hc. I have been golfing for 7 or 8 years but only playing regularly the past 2 years. I tend to tinker with my clubs so nothing in my bag is over a year old. My plan this summer is to actually spend some time with a Pro and begin to work on lowering my HC 1 shot at a time!

HI Junior; wlecome to the fun.
Lots of club hoe's here to help in your tinkering, although the left handed stuff is not in great supply. Good idea on the lessons, good luck with your game.

London is a great town I lived there about 7 years ago and have family there. THe 2 local courses are Thames Valley and River Road. THere is a guy on TGM from St. Thomas, his actavator is the San Jose sharks. It's been a few years since I golfed there. There are some nice driving ranges there too. I played most of my golf at Thames Valley and outside of Grand Bend when I was there. Welcome to our world!!!

I managed a privately owned twin-pad arena in London before opening our golf course, and I managed to play every now and then.
Make sure you play Forest City National...it's on the North-East side of the city beside the Airport overlooking Fanshawe Lake. It's likely the best Public course around ... about a 25 minute drive East, you will find Ingersoll .. again another nice Public track. Both of these course are reasonably priced, but you will find golf in London much cheaper than the GTA. I think you can play Ingersoll for $35 twilight, and not much more for Forest City...which includes cart and GPS.
Don't let some of the people on this forum hear you complaining about the price of golf ... better yet, don't bring it up at all! :hush:

Hi Junior
Welcome to the forum. A great place to hand out and spend some time.
I have a pull out shaft, 0.335 tip diameter, Aldila NV 55 in S-flex if interested.
Are you a right or left handed golfer? For lessons see Cam Doig in Seaforth.

Hi Junior, welcome to the forum. If you're looking forward to spring, you might want to consider joining a lot of us on an outting to Copetown Woods. You can find the thread in the "Find Playing Partners" discussion forum on this site.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, I was at the golf show in London on Sat and met some people from the Mulligan Tour. I think that may be a good way for me to meet some fellow golfers in the London area and get out to some of the courses. Has anyone had experiance with the Muligan Tour? Looks like a good set up to me.
Also, Ems I'll keep looking for a date on the Copetown Woods day. Thanks for directing me to that!
