I always like the Masters the most every year. Its the most hyped, pretigeous, storied and full of tradition. From the gala dinner to the par 3 challenge. Always has a great story book ending. The Open would be next just because of its history.

The US Open was a good one Phil was close on the last day but Goosen won in the end :) The Masters is is always great as it is the first major of the season and it symbolizes to most of us, the end of winter. The setting is one of the most spectacular in golf.
However, the US Open is the best major as the course requires superior ball striking, as well as good putting, while Augusta puts too much emphasis on putting.

Good point Shadow, Augusta pumps so much money into maintaining the prestine conditions of the course. I read that they have huge lights to shine on the grass on areas that are covered by too much shade to make sure the grass their stays healthy. They also have a very state of the art watering system underground. The greens have underground heating as well. This is why I enjoy watching the Masters so much. Every hole is so immaculately kept. I don't think there's one blade of brown grass there.
The US Open definately tests the skills of the game. Just look at Whistling Straights in 2004. I like how the venu changes year to year, though some repeat.

cause i attended all week
but the greens proved to be a joke,
especially on sunday
7th hole par 3 required syringing by grounds crew
and most greens were dead as a result
of the usga's bizarre mandate to identify the best golfer
always a good field of players at us open

Have to agree with you Focker. I love watching the Masters. Maybe it's the walk down Amen corner...or maybe it's watching the winner in the Champions room putting on the Green jacket. It is always exciting to watch.
