Is it just me or are there a lot of retired teachers who are marshalls/starters at golf courses?

Makes sense, teachers get the summer months off and what better than to make some extra money at a place you will probably hang out at anyway and get FREE golf!!! I would do the same! Even if you`re not a teacher and retired I would want to work at a golf course and marshall. Perfect job!

You let the club do the talking when you`re up. I`ve received the "teacher" treatment while waiting for my tee time and I don`t like it but for some reason, some starters think they`re GOD or something and like to be pr*cks but if you get up there and smoke one down the middle they give you a certain look as you walk back to put your club in your bag and they let you go peacefully, then again that doesn`t happen everytime. Most starters are great and make you feel relaxed on the first tee though.

Don't even get me started on the whole teachers have the summer off bit....my GF is a teacher and although she works her butt off during the year, feel that NO teacher deserves that much time off.

During the time the kids are off in the summer, teachers should be required to continue improving their skills and mandatory training should be enforced throughout the summer months. My father is a University professor and when it's all said and done, he's off from April until August......holy shmoly mang! I'm in the wrong profession.......

There, I'm done ranting. If anyone tells my GF, I'll kick your butt :D
