I'm back in Toronto for a week from London and am going to LAUNCH on Tuesday most likely with my dad. I've never been, how is it?

Kam, I haven't been there for a year, but from memory it's a good place to practice, much better than a dome or other indoor facility. The only drawback that I can remember is it's a little pricey, unless you're in the group with the rest of us "old fogeys". I can't remember how well the heaters help on cold days like today, but it's gotta be better than no heat at all.

Launch is a nice facility, but certainly pricey.
The heated pads are ok for mild cold temps. However, if it is windy (blowing into the mats), it's not very pleasant. (I think Launch faces east? not sure...)
I was at the Docks yesterday with a good breeze coming of the lake. The heaters were no match for mother nature.

I`m going there tonight and its going to be cold. As long as there`s no wind, the heaters will be fine but if its blowing into you, forget it on a day like today. Mon-Fri, 2hr Spec, 3-7pm & 9-11pm, $30
Tues Spec, $20/mat/hr/2ppl
Nice to see ball flight though you can minus a few yards for distance due to the cold.

Personally, I keep away from the place in the winter. Some of the balls get waterlogged in the slush, then frozen. You feel those ones all the way through your body. Ouch

It's actually $37 + tax between 3 - 7 pm and 9-11pm Monday - Fri. I think it drops down to $34 on Sat and Sun for the same time slot. The $30 rate is the summer rate which was extended to the end of Jan.
I paid with tax last Friday $39 for the 2hr special.

It's a great place! I normally go to the upper level to practice. It's quieter and my friends and I are left in peace. If you go this week I'm sure you'll have to restart the heaters every few minutes though. brrr

Thanks for clearing that up MP33, it comes to $39.65 for the 2 hr spec. Though it was cold last night it was still warm with the gas heaters above you. Was finally nice to see ball flight. I`m ready for the courses as soon as the weather allows it.

No worries Focker. It's expensive but I don't mind paying a little more to see my ball flight. I also think the atmosphere is a little better now that the cost has gone up. You use to get the packs of teenagers on a Friday night who are there to simply drink beer and play Happy Gilmore. I don't see that as much as $40 an hour + expensive beers is a lot to pay to horse around.
