That would be weird. I have an old brown vinyl Cooper "tube" bag he could borrow if he wants! Might be to heavy for Stevie though!

but getting on the bag would require a new dea/modified deal ..so it might very well be a sponsor that currently isn't on his list.

I think for the mastetrs it will be somebody looking for a one time shot and not necessarily looking at a long term relationship

I was reading the "Tiger texts" Joslyn James released today. What a freak. No doubt they violate TGN's good taste so no link from me. :D

All i know is, who evers name ISNT on it right now, will be paying him 2x as much to be on it again.

Lets be honest ppl, no one gives two craps about Tigers affair's, especially Gatorade, Accenture etc etc, they all jumped off the Tiger Bandwagon because at the time he wasnt the "in thing" to sponsor.

If he was to win the master's, or perhaps another major this year, and a few tournaments here and there, they will be back at his door in a flash, but probably be looking at paying him 2x as much as they were before.

That doesn't really fit with the facts.

If Accenture and Gatorade didn't care about Tiger's affairs, they wouldn't have dropped him. I don't think they make these decisions lightly - there is some significant cash involved.

Accenture dropped him because he did not fit their image. They will never pick him up again, not even for free. They charge their clients very high rates, and having Tiger as a spokesperson carried the message "we may be expensive, but you can trust us". Since Tiger turns out to be less than truthful or trustworthy (at least to the his wife, children and mother - i.e. the people who might matter most to him), that message completely and utterly backfires.

Nike stays with him because i) he IS the face and future of Nike's golf line, and ii) their message is more about linking Nike to athletic excellence - and Tiger continues to represent that just fine.

Tiger will have plenty of opportunities to pick up new sponsors in the future, even more so if his game is on and this year's mess fades into history. They'll just be a little different.

An interesting question is whether he will bother picking up new sponsors. Why would he - what good will they do him? They'll give him more money, but I don't know how that would improve his life in any way. What is his motivation? Breaking Jack's records - no sponsors required. Buying a new house and yacht - he can take that out of petty cash.

"Lets be honest ppl, no one gives two craps about Tigers affair's"

Kiwigolfer - In my humble opinion, those who value the game for it's "self honesty" and other qualities will be watching Tiger "off the course" rather than on the course. If you ever want to read about self honesty and character "off the course", read Lorne Rubinsteins new book,"This Rounds on Me". (http://www.mcclelland.com/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9780771078576)Lorne writes about Nicklaus, Palmer, Marlene Stewart-Streit, Al Balding and George Knudson. All were "Class Acts" off the course as well as on the course. Tiger's chapter is yet to be written and he has alot of "catching up to do"!

PALM HARBOR, Fla. - Tiger Woods won't replace AT&T with a new corporate sponsor on his golf bag when he returns at the Masters, instead using his Nike brand.
AT&T dropped him as a sponsor Dec. 31 in the midst of the infidelity scandal.
It will be the first time since he turned pro that Woods has used an existing sponsor's logo on the bag. The golf bag and hat are the two areas in golf where companies get the most television exposure.
"We are not actively pursuing new business partnerships at this point in time," Mark Steinberg, Woods's agent at IMG, said Friday in a text message.
Steinberg said Woods will be using the "TW" brand at Nike, his longest corporate sponsor.
It will be the fourth logo on Woods' bag in his professional career. He started with Titleist from 1996 before signing an endorsement deal with Buick that lasted through the 2008, ending early when GM filed for bankruptcy.
Woods then signed on with AT&T, which also sponsors a PGA Tour event over the Fourth of July weekend that supports Woods' foundation. AT&T was the second sponsor (behind Accenture) to drop Woods over revelations he had been cheating on his wife.
AT&T is still title sponsor of Woods's tournament, although Woods will not be the host this year.

I don't think anyone else wants to be on his bag right now. Even for free.

I have spent some time in the USA and just got back recently to Toronto. People there are not happy with Tiger and the recent release of more text messages describing multiple violent acts of a sexual nature with multiple partners will really spin heads down there.

Makes you wonder if he is really as angry as he seems to be on the course most of the time. I don't think he likes himself much.

But he is still the best and as long as he continues to live in his own little bubble, he will keep winning.

I have spent time in the States and what many Canadian's don't understand is how much American's hate it when big celeb's lie to the public. Here in Canada we want to "forgive" and do the "right thing" and have empathy/sympathy for these people.

If you read the other threads on the forum you will see that there is always a handful of people who want to take the "no big deal" approach and are more concerned about watching Woods play golf on TV than holding him accountable for his actions.

If he is able to get into his "zone" and continue his winning ways IMO they will be very shallow victories. Maybe he can wear the green jacket as he is doing some DP, or golden showers to his favourite porn star, and if he gets caught, he can make a speech and look into the camera, pause, and say......"I'm so sorry" while his mother looks at the ground with disgust.

As I said, IMO it will be a long time before he will need to change his bag, unless Nike drops him, and with the economy still struggling and retail sales suffering how much longer is NIke going to pay this guy that they are "afraid" to use to promote their products because they won't know how the public will receive the advertising.

Did you see the interview in Australia? An interviewer asked him about how important he feels family is and how he believes in it? Extremely important he said. There is nothing more important then family meanwhile he was thinking of what he was going to do to Uchitel that nigth back at the hotel room.

Imagine if Tiger said screw the wife and kids and whatever sponsors don't like it. Pay the money to Elin. Said this is the life he would like to lead and if you don't like it, too bad. He would, at the very least, gain respect back for his honesty.

That would be marvelous. He could be the 'bad boy villian' on tour. Indulgences running out onto the green after each victory, two at a time, whispering dirty sweet nothings in his ears.:rofl:

He already acts poorly on the course and is rude to fans and media alike. Might as well fill the shoes completely.

Enough said for me on this issue. I don't think my opinion will be misunderstood. lol
