My secratary found it for me, so I thought I'd like to share it. You can find it on the last page of the Business Section of the Toronto Star. I'm sure most of the golf-a-holic's already are aware, but to ones who are not so keen with golf event updates here it is.

Too bad TGN doesn't have a booth, then I'd see/introduce other TGN members.

BTW: if you have the paper clippings, you can save a whole $2 off admission!!!

Thanks for letting everyone know. I will be there at the doors on Friday waiting for them to open haha! I like that fact that you can try all the new clubs. It's a good show but I wish there was more merchandise.

They had a putting contest going on at Finch subway station yesterday. I think they were giving away prizes (passes??) if you sunk a putt. I wasn't too sure but that's what it looked like. It was pretty busy and I couldn't get close enough. Ah well..

I know! I tried my hand at it too. They gave you a free pass or a sleeve of golf balls if you sank the putt. You get 3 tries. I didn't get it in so they gave me a couple of $2 off coupons to the show.

Hey QB, you can have a second go at it today at Kipling Station :D. At least you can now say you won something while golfing for this season.

STUPID QUESTION: Who's thinking of going? lemme rephrase, who's thinking of not going?

I stopped going about 5 years ago because of this. There are more travel booths there now than equipment. I'll wait for it to hit GT and go there in early May for free.

Totally agree, unless things have changed, there were more travel booths, cigar booths, and not many top of line OEM clubs in display...but I havent been in about 5 years or so.....would rather go to Golftown for free on a weekly basis....:)

yes, but many courses (throughout the GTA) are represented, and I've picked-up some good deals, like 2-for-1 coupons, etc.:)

I think I will go this year, passed on the last 2 so maybe time to check out some travel destinations. I agree, not enough golf though.

It's a pity Titleist does not do these shows anymore.

I'm with you.....there's one problem though. I've never taken the subway down there. Which subway stop is the closest to the Convention Center? :help: I've always driven downtown, but this year I've decided to do the Go bus/subway route.

You'd need to go to Union St. and walk west from there....it's not too far of a walk to the Convention Centre (5-10 minutes).....

Gotcha! I'm liking these mass transit systems in Canada!

It's actually west along Front St. :)

Also, if the weather is poor, you can walk the covered bridge that connects Union Station (the actual train station, not the TTC station) to the MTCC (and Skydome). Just look for the signs at Union Station.

I haven't been in a couple years (last time I did, I won a free $500 set of clubs from lastminutegolfer).
The one thing I liked was almost every manufacturer had vector launch monitors set up. Alot of free data as you experiment with different lofts, shafts etc.
