where do your gloves wear out??

I was just curious where everyone's gloves tend to wear out...

Now that I think about it...I'm not sure if I'm going to do a good job of describing where mine wear out, but here goes....

Mine always wear out in either the thumb pad or right at the heel (a little higher than the actual heel). I'm the only one of my playing partners who wear out my gloves here.

Thinking about something I'm doing wrong with my grip is the last thing I want to do....so what I'm hoping to find here is the assurance that this is normal!!

Please!!! I need affirmation!! :help:

...me too...many gloves are re-inforced with an extra patch in this area!

Mine is my thumb and right palm heal area, My gloves don't really last me that long. I hate that.

mine wear out in the base of my palm on the right side (near the butt of the club)

If your gloves are wearing out in your palm you may want to try a lubricant!

If your grip is correct your thumb should always wear out first. If it is wearing at the palm you are not gripping the club correctly and should try holding further down in your fingers.

Hey Hogannut, I hold the club more in my fingers...I think one of the posts above did a better job of describing it. It's the part of the hand below the pinky, nearer the wrist...

Yeah...I would be pretty worried if my glove wore out in the center of my palm!! I can't even imagine a grip that would wear out a glove there!!
