KING KONG Top Bolt upgrade > the original design was susceptible to developing top bolt thread damage that would minimize the amount of clamping pressure that could be exerted on the shaft, which caused shaft slippage and more time to do the pull. This puller has had the top bolt upgraded from a grade 2 to a grade 8 bolt [c/w necessary machining as per the original design]. This is a significant enhancement over the original design that was already considered the benchmark for mechanical shaft pullers. This upgrade uses a special FULL THREAD Grade 8 bolt which is generally not a stock item from industrial fastener supply companies. The bolt and special machining cost me $20 and is included at no extra charge.
