If you're considering/planning a trip to the Buffalo area, you might want to give Pro Golf Discount a visit. I've been dealing with one of the sales reps there. I've got my eye on a driver that I've been thinking about for some time. I asked the rep if I could schedule a session on the Vector in the dome (the shop is in the dome). He said that the cost of the Vector session was $50, but if you bought the driver there, the Vector session is free. I imagine the same holds true for any club bought there. I'm going next week to do the Vector session.

I've played several. My favorite is Glen Oak. Very nice layout. Fairly open and not too many surprises. Always in really great shape. When I go to the VA hospital for appointments, I almost always play next door at Grover Cleveland. Very old style course (built in 1901, site of 1912 US Open!), not always in the best shape, but can't beat the price ($14). I also enjoy Beaver Island. Another fairly open course, lots of water, mostly in pretty good shape. On this side, I really like Niagara Falls GC, just off Lundy's Lane north of the 401. Very good setup, some challenging holes, some risk/reward shots. Greens in good shape. Price....$25US cash for 18 holes, cart and lunch.

I've seen this $25 US special on their website and wondered what it was. Do you have to be a US citizen to take advantage of it or can you get the special just by paying in US$? What kind of lunch is included? Do you know the hours of this special?
Any information would be much appreciated.
Thanks

The special runs all day. I've showed up at 2pm and got the "lunch special". The only stipulation is $25US cash. Lunch? How about a hotdog, bag of chips and small beer or pop? That's about it. Nothing special, but the price is great (less than $30Cdn for 18 holes and cart). And the price is in effect all year long.

One word of caution. Unless you can hit a very high fade over 200 yards, don't attempt to cut the corner on 13. It's a very short par 4 (only 220), but it's a right-angled dogleg left around a big pond. Anything short is either in the tall trees or taking a bath. It's easy enough to make to short wedge shots and get a birdie without trying for an eagle.

It's fun to try though!!!! IMO, that's the only goofy hole on the course. The green is next to impossible to hold on the approach.

I've managed in once in about 8 tries. That's the most fun hole on the course, totally risk/reward. But I hope those trees next to the lake don't grow too much!!
