I do not think the Club House up there burnt down. I could not find anything on any news sites about it. When you sign up, try and use a dummy email account. I have gotten a lot of emails from them.

Sorry guys - i may have been mistaken. I think now it was a course in the Grand Bend area that burnt down. I am going to search the archives of newspapers to find out exactly where it happened!!!

I just read in Score Golf magazine that it was in fact the Clubhouse of the Oakwood Inn & Golf resort in Grand Bend that burned to the ground. It was originally built in 1922 and renovated in 2002. It housed extensive memorabilia including a set of golf clubs used by Jack Nicklaus in 22 tournament wins. What a shame!:( If you are in the Grand Bend area - give the course a try and a pat on the back for Dave Scatcherd (the owner) as he runs a charity tournament for the surrounding area that has helped raise more than $1.2 million.:)

He says some of the clubhouse should be open for business by June 8th!
