What a difference the synergy between shaft and head can make! The MacTec 9.5*/Fujikura ZCOM TW74 combo has bested the R5TP/Diamana 73 in all three important categories; ball speed, launch angle, and spin rate. This has equated to a distance increase of about 3.5%, in my case about eight yards. More importantly, the desired launch angle of 14* is much easier to attain. Spin has dropped from 3250 to 3100 rpm. After playing yesterday, I sold the R5TP on Ebay today.
All in all, a great driver head that deserves the very best of shafts to perform at it's optimum.
