I'd like to get into clubmaking as a hobby. Ihave a set of titleist 981sl irons with graphite shafts that i would like to replace with steel shafts. Since I have no use for the old shafts, would it be a good idea to cut them off at the hosel and drill the rest out, or should I use a torch to pull them?

Why not pull them and sell them? Someone might want them and you could get a few bucks for them.
