I concede it was a good job by VJ. I guess he wanted to prove to everybody that the Sunday finish at the Mercedes championship was a mistake not to be repeated. He definitely showed us that.
Just a question? Who is the oldest player ever to hold the No. 1 Spot? If age has anything to do with making or breaking golf records then I believe Tiger has the advantage and VJ the disadvantage since he is much older. Tiger has already won all 4 Majors and held the 4 titles at one time. And Tiger also has many golf playing years ahead to break any existing records that VJ puts up. Not to mention many other younger players that show promise. VJ is Numero Uno right now but I see a lot of talented players breathing down his neck. I wonder how long he will stay at No. 1?

Majors. Vijay has won 25 and 3 (?) Majors.
That being said, I think Vijay is currently a golfing machine and will continue to extend his lead in the World Rankings. The only way for Tiger to close on him is to finish better than Vijay in every tournament for a year or so, winning more than a few tournaments. I'm not saying Tiger can't do that, but that's about what he needs to regain number 1 in the near future. I predict that Vijay will win the money title yet again this year and still be #1 in the World Rankings in December.

Not to mention so many other players at the top of their game as well. Not only VJ and Tiger gunning for wins. Should be interesting at year's end, to find how many wins they all have. VJ , Tiger, Phil, Ernie, Sergio, Daly, Weir etc... etc.... and the list goes on....:D
