Hi,

Just to let everybodu know GolfTown has regripping for 8 irons for $17.98 including installation.

This is a great deal but does anybody know anything about those Kelmac 71 grip. Those are the grips they installed for that price.

Just interested.

Thanks,

Jean-Guy

I don't know anything about the grips. But two things make me wonder. 1 - they are not for sale on Golf Smith, and 2 - Kelmac does not have the Kelmac 71's listed on theire site.

It is a great deal, but honestly, I've felt the grips and they are horrible.

Probably trying to attract you there and then trying to sell you better grips at regular price.

If you wait a few weeks, Golftown will have their annual regripping 2 for 1 sale. I had 14 winn half-cords replaced last year and it cost me $60. I had to take my driver back and have it redone though since it wasn't on straight. I use the lettering on the grip to ensure the face is square on set up. It was off by 5 or 6 degrees. Doesn't sound like alot but all of a sudden I'd developed a major league slice.

I assume you're thinking about driving from Kirkland Lake to the Golftown in Ottawa. Well, Chuck Brown's has their 2 for 1 sale on now until the end of January, and Pro Golf on Carling/Kirkwood usually has a 2 for 1 sale in February. GolfWorks on Industrial Ave is also very reasonable, and their "house" brand Malty/Grip One grips are decent products if you want to save a few bucks. So you have some choices.

Thanks El Tigre, but I was just passing some infos. My friend regrips my clubs and he only uses Golf Pride grips. They are awesome...

If you want to drive to Kirkland Lake I am sure he could do yours for a good deal...lol

Have a good day,

Jean-Guy

Allow me to set all the facts straight. Yes, it is only the value priced Kelmac @ 8 for $17.95. Almost all the other Winn and Golf Pride grips are priced at 30-50% off, plus $1.00 installation per club.

e.g. Golf Pride Tour Wrap Cord is $5.95

The sale ends Feb. 28/05.
