Hey fellow golf nuts. I came across this coupon for a golf school in Scarborough. It is for Gary Kent Golf Schools of Toronto. I know that some of you posted on this instructor before and weren't too impressed. Not sure if he is good or not but on the site it claims that he is a Class A CPGA Head Teaching Professional. For those interested in learning more it might be worth checking this out.

Hi Mulliganpro...I haven't tried it yet. But when I do I'll remember to post about it and let you all know if I find it helpful.

i have been using gary kent for 2 yrs he has dropped me from a 15 hdc to a 7 ..mostly looking/changing my impact zone ...i think if u work at wanting to change to improve your game ,go see him .....one u might want to avoid whom i have had a bad sessions with is ...PAT ARBOUR ...not my idea of good teacher ,,more money motivated than your golf interest......thats my 2 cents:confused:

Thanks for sharing your opinion countclub. Can you tell me if you took private lessons with Gary Kent one on one? Because I have a friend that went for lessons at the Gary Kent school and he didn't find it helpful. Does Pat Arbour also teach at that same golf range? Also wondered what makes you say that he is money motivated?

Oh I see... that's good to know and to avoid instructors like that.

I know exactly what what they mean by money motivated, a teachers goal should only be to make players the best they can be. The money will come with repeat lessons and referals. Most teachers don't understand this.

i wonder if some instructors would deliberately not teach everything to the student quickly so that the student would have to pay for more lessons to learn the game...

I've always thought too much at once is bad. Tour pros play with one swing thought thinking that more thoughts would just ruin their game.
I do see your point though. Sometimes it hardly seems worth any amount of money for a lesson when they only change your setup or even worse... your grip.
