Tangle Creek - some of the guys at work have played it and they really like it.
Taboo - I enjoyed that one last summer

I hope he does not have to pay the green fees. They are HIGH. I heard it was a very nice course, but it is kinda of set up like a driving range, just knock it down the pipe a dozen or so times.

My only must play is Devil's Pulpit and go back to the Paintbrush again.

That and a whole lot of golf where ever I can run between Monday and Sunday. :help:

I have some conections in the industry, but I must say I have played Trillium Woods and it was a steal for the price and an amazing course. I have played both the paintbrush and pulpit and I loved the both as well. I must say the best courses I have played have to be World Woods resort in the Florida, and of course my home courses of Angus Glen.

I'd be up for it. Timber Ridge is one of my all time favourite courses. It's a nice hidden gem. I've heard some good things about Trillium Woods.

Assuming your connections are really good you'll love that course. Otherwise, Magna employee's can't even play on that course. The only time I've seen that course is playing at Westview, you can see one of the holes and it makes you feel like c**p.

I've always wanted to play Wooden Sticks, Glen Abbey, Angus Glen, Copper Creek, Eagles's Nest, etc but they're all so expensive. Some of you mentioned Devils Pulpit and some other courses but aren't they private?

All those other "hidden gems" I will play for sure! Heard too many good things about Trillium Woods. Tangle Creek is great.

Yes, but I still want to play them this season. You just have to ask your friends the right way. ;)

Geez......I can't believe how much love Trillium Woods is grtting on a Toronto forum.....well deserved, btw, Timber Ridge is also a pretty cool layout, although they should blow up about 5 greens....at least the ones I five putted:rofl: The deals once you get outside ther GTA are amazing, I moved to Kingston many moons ago, and you just can't believe how cheap golf is...guys complain about $40.00 green fees!!
Hey Swainer....you show off! nice choices...you're not a little biased towards Angus are you:D , and you and I know that no one can get on Magna:dunno:
I'll take a different route, I'm pretty fortunate to play some pretty cool courses, so my goal is to go and play Don Valley Golf and Country Club.....haven't played there since I was a kid, when I first started playing....long, long ago!! Swainer, got any connections to get me on there:help:

GBROkay GBR,
We'll add you to the invite list. Maybe we can get together at Loyalist alos. It's a sister club to Trillium that only costs me $35.00.

Hey Mule,

I think I've heard of Loyalist:D Actually another really good track that most guys in the GTA have never heard of........Although, with my "high rights" some of those new houses are in trouble.
A TGN Tourny would be very cool, and I'm always up for a game......since I found these forums, I don't think I have friends anymore:confused:

GBRHey GBR,
I'm making a promise to myself to play that sister track at Loyalist this year. I tried three times last year to get there, but each time they had a tourney. Don't worry about the friends, they're over rated. I have a hard time using the ones I have now.

Trillium Wood is a great track. We played it last year in a 36 hole Ryder Cup event and had a great time. Course was in fantanstic and greens were great!:D If you can, make the time and go play it. We will be going back in june for a repeat event and to defend our title against SOGA.:p

Tangle Creek is a fantastic course....Great practice facilities, great course, very long and challenging. Reasonable green fee. Worth the drive to Barrie, especially now that National pines is clublink

Timber Ridge that you folks are referring to above ... is it closer to Cobourg or Belleville?

I spend a good number of weekends near Cobourg, but the courses around Cobourg/Port Hope just sort of fulfill the need.

I would say that Timber is about half way between Cobourg and Belleville. It's just outside of Brighton.

Hi everyone,

Two of the must play courses in the GTA have to be Royal Ashburn in Ashburn and Oakridge Golf Club. Oakridge must also be the best value course.
