Two advantages the Pros have over "the rest of us".
1) They never ( okay rarely) lose their ball...Hundreds of pairs of eyes will almost always find it...You know when you have teed a shot and it flys over the horizon and YOU THINK it should be in good shape when you walk/ride to your ball and it is gone!
2) Crooked tee boxes...The grounds crew marks your tee location with tee markers...and too often you are teeing it up with the ball above or below your feet. Can't they level them out? REALLY ANNOYING...not part of course design i'm sure

I can't stand it when tee boxes are in such poor shape. Some have very little grass, and others are just so bumpy, I can't find a decent place to tee up.

Thats why more expensive courses are worth it, better playing conditions!

It's not snooker - if you want things perfect take up snooker or wait until golf goes with artificial turf. We laready have manicured greens, great fairways etc - compared to generations who played before us.
Not to be mean, but deal with it - it's game played under the conditions of nature - Just enjoy it and don't try to take the nature part out of it.

Ofcourse we deal with it, and it's to be expected at non-premium courses. However, does that mean that the courses shouldn't patch divots in the fairways and fix ball marks on the greens? No one expects perfect, unless you're at Augusta, but there should be at least a minimum expectation that there will be a decent amount of grass instead of just dirt. Hahahaha...

Hey we're in Canada, conditions are tougher, especially at the start of the season. And it just makes it easier for us for when we do get to Augusta - LOL
