Ever had a day when NOTHING goes your way? Today was just crazy. I couldn't hit a single club in the bag. I hit a whooping 8 fairways today when I normally hit about 10-11 and only had 2GIRs. Managed to shoot six silly double bogeys, a triple and a fat snowman all mixed in with four 3 putts! That's just pure easy strokes lost there. Iron play was mediocre, I was hitting a bit fat, misjudging distances, couldn't keep my focus and steady myself on chips, skulled bunker and approach shots, 3 putting from 15feet or 2 putting from 6. Tried to take my medicine when I was in the trees instead of going with the Tiger Woods miracle shot and ended up worse off than had I taken the Tiger shot. I guess I found out the hard way that sometimes you need to take two doses of medicine!

My playing partner wasn't doing any better either and I guess it's true, you do feed off your playing parter. I shot a nasty 99, my partner shot a 98!! OUCH! Honestly, it was one of those rounds where you felt your score was at least 120 and the round felt like it would never end! My sis on the other hand was having a great round. I think she hit 13 fairways and about five 1putts and a couple close chip-ins!

We were planning to play 27, well we ended up at the 19th hole getting plastered instead. :D

I've got another 27 booked for tomorrow...woohoo! You gotta be nuts to love this crazy game!!

Was just there on wednesday.:(

One of those days, when you realize how much fun you should be having and not worrying about score.

Started my day with an 8 on a par 4 with 3 more along the way and needed only a birdie to break 100 and with a 20 footer (yep, 3 jack for 101).

Highest score in at least a decade.

Oh yeah I love this game - been out twice since then and playing again this morning in a tournament. :)

I played in the Grass Roots Tour event yesterday and you just described my round Carlton. It was extremely painful for others to watch I'm sure !!

It didn't help that the round took over 6 hours !!!  If you were able to hit a good shot, you ahd to wait 10 minutes before each shot and couldn't keep any rythm going at all. That is the longest round of golf I have ever played, tournament or not ... all while not having a beer because of being in the tournament ... that made it more painful!!

A few of us were considering stopping after nine at FCN to have a few beers just so we didnt have to expose our scores.

Glad to know I'm not alone with this problem. I had another semi-disasterous round again today. I hit only 5 fairways today and absolutely zero GIRs. I almost had one on a par3 but had too much spin on the ball and it zipped right back off the front of the green. My iron play still plagues me but at least my short game saved my butt today. I think it could be that I'm just physically tired from too much golf. :$

I had a very bad start to the year and couldnt hit anything. Maybe a bit more range time and less course time will do you well?

I havent hit a club in a long time, I definatly need some range time for this tournament coming up.

Hmmm....Perhaps we are just not as good as we think we are?
