OK, this rant is not meant for:

1) The people who have already signed up for the TGN Golf Tournament on July 16th, or

2) The people who can't make it for reasons that are beyond their control.

Last year, all anyone could talk about was the tournament, this year? Not one peep. Ok, there has been a little chatter, but nothing like last year.

Where is everyone? I know that the price has increased, but only by $35. And now I see that the "early bird deadline" has been extended to June 23rd!!!! You have no excuse now.

For $135, you get 18 holes of FANTASTIC golf at Angus Glen, prizes, hanging out with your fellow TGNers and dinner. Did I mention the fact that it's a GREAT day of golf at Angus Glen's south course?

I know it may be a little early for this message, but I thought that I might get some people talking about this thing and get some people into this tournament.

Don't forget, this is a tournament for EVERYONE, not just the good golfers (or the golfers who think they're good ), but for the great and not so great golfers as well. It doesn't matter if you shoot 70 or 170, you're welcome at this tournament.

I strongly urge everyone who hasn't sent in your money and registration form to do so and you won't regret it. We had a great time last year and I think it's a tournament that everyone should have the opportunity to play in. Here's a link to all the comments from last years tournament. Just read them and see how much fun everyone had:

And here are the photos:

I know that these links are found elsewhere on the TGN website, but I thought that I'd put them in this link to help the cause :D.

My rant is now done. Thank you, I feel better now.

PS: Mods if you want to move or delete this, I'll understand :(.

Definatley looking to check it out... it sounds like a tremendous deal. My summer plans just haven't been solidified yet as I will be doing some travelling and I am not sure when yet!

I'm definately glad to see the early bird has been extended though! I don't think it would have made a difference whether I would have signed up though.

It is nice to see that they have extended it. My ankle should be ok by then and if I can find a ride . I would love to come out and meet my fellow TGNers. It looks like it will be a great time.

Thanks for the encouragment Snoopygolf, its always great to hear people enthusiastic about any TGN event and to hear positive feedback from the participants.

As one of the organizers helping out, I can tell you first off that the price of $135 is a great deal even though the price went up from last year and believe me, if I could have worked out a deal like last year I would have. Angus Glen did us a huge favour last year to kickstart our inaugural tournament and it was a hit! Like Snoopygolf said, its an amazing venue, great service and most importantly the course is world class.

This year we also have ForeontheFloor coming out to provide live digital scoring so you can see what position you`re in and also have your swing recorded and played back after the tournament so that the rest of the group can make fun of you!

How many can say they played on the course where the PGA Tour played? You get the golf, range, cart, dinner, prizes and you get to meet other TGN members! Register your 4some or as a single and come out and enjoy a great day!

I know. :).

At least I won't have you behind me like last year. No wonder I didn't do so well, all I felt all day was you pushing us    . J/K :D

This is going to be really cool. Although, I think I'll put people into a laughing frenzy when they see my swing.

I posted another thread wanting to know more about the tournament - still undecided on how to pass my 35th b-day: playing golf with TGNers or spend the day with wife and kids (party time)?! Or use the $$$ for a gift (golf club of cours!) Decision, decision...Though I'm glad that they extend its deadline so it will buy me some time - will let ya know :-)

Oh you should join Dave....last year was a lot of fun.

And I hope to see more women golfers than last year. There didn't appear to be many of us out there.

Hey, thanks a lot for the support! Feels good to know our efforts aren't going unnoticed!

For those who need a lift, let us know where you are located, and we'll see if we can help organize carpooling for the event.

I would attend. However I am recovering from a Double By Pass. That seems to have limited my ability to swing a golf club for about 2 months :) So I have a legit excuse.
