View Full Version : My Hole in 1!!!

Angus Glen yesterday afternoon, roughly 124 yrds, slight right to left breeze, hit a 52* wedge and drew a little (or wind assisted), headed right at the stick and landed on the green, bounced once and disappeared into the cup!! I was thrilled!! Almost let out a yell!! Too bad though, it was at their driving range!! Nonetheless, I was still happy and immediately looked around to see if anyone saw what happened but nobody seemed to have noticed. Sucks, I hope I didn`t just use up my "one hole in 1 per lifetime" ticket with the golf God. Thats my luck.

I'm pretty sure AG or any other clubs must have a few hole-in-1 per day, in their driving range...

I realize that...its really no big deal and its meaningless but my point was to build up some sort of excitement only to have it be a hole in 1 on a driving range...I guess you didn`t get my tone from my post...anyways...

I believe you now owe everyone on the board a drink. Thanks FS. I'll have a Macallan's 25-yr-old single malt.

The 25 is nice but some say the 18 is better, eiither way make it two - neat
I did the same sort of thing. Hit my tee shot and came up just short of the green. Walked up and couldn't find my ball anywhere. After look for a while I saw a cup from a temp green from the spring, there was my ball at the bottom. Two weeks earlier and I would have had an ace.

Hey Focker, unlike many of the ppl who responded I think what you did was great, and worthy of a celebration. Who cares if it was on a driving range, it was still a totally amazing shot that captures the essence of why we play golf. One thing I really like about my golf club is the reversal of the notion that the person who gets the ace should buy drinks for everyone else. If you get an ace you're denied signing priviliges which means that everyone buys you the drinks, which is how it should be imho. So at some point Focker we'll play and I'll get you that drink in honour of your driving range ace! :)

i quite agree with openflows.
it's almost just as hard to get one on the range as a golf course. just that you might get more chances at the range, doesn't make it any easier!
congrats! maybe it's a sign of things to come ;)

That is too funny! Almost like being on yesterdays pin placement ...

Focker can come to Copetown Woods and buy us all a round on Sunday, considering the tab would be more costly at AG ... save a few dollars
