I have an anniversary coming up, and since the honeymoon was a golf getaway, now is a good time to plan another.

We did the Mount Tremblant getaway, (Diablo and LeGiante), and had a good time. Might consider returning to check out other courses in the area.

I did the Nottawassauga 3 day unlimited golf ($249), breakfast and 2 nights deal, last week. The Ridge course was in excellant condition.

So I need some suggestions, like for the Niagara region, or the Muskokas. Rocky Crest is an option, but there are many negative reviews about dining and service.

So, if you have some ideas, experiences (good or bad) post them here.

You might look at Deerhurst in Huntsville. Good golf, entertainment, lakeside resort.

For something quieter, in the Muskokas, try Windermere. The Baldwins has cottages. Sign up for Windermere Golf course separately and play South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club in Bracebridge. About 30 minutes from Windermere.
I think you'll like the prices.

I'm visiting The Baldwins this coming month for a couple of days and hope to play both Windermere course and South Muskoka.

You could also try Boyne Mountain Resort. The 7 hour drive is more than worth it. I am from Northern Ontario (8 hours) and go there once or twice a year. Met lots of people from Toronto this year.

Enjoy your holidays.

My wife and I were supposed to go to Taboo this week, but I just cancelled it cause the weather isn't looking so great. They have stay and play packages for about $200-220 or so, which isn't too bad considering the round of golf is over $150 by itself.
