The restaurant thread got me thinking that I wanted to start a thread about praising golf course patios...

Recently, my girlfriend and I were looking around for a patio to go to in Unionville, and we ended up indoors because all the patios were full. It dawned on me that we could have hopped over to a golf course, instead.

What better patio is there than a nice course patio? Often the staff is super friendly, and frequently quite attractive as well. Decent beer is usually on tap and what golf menu doesn't include wings and nachos, my two favourite beer snack foods? The chefs tend to be a couple notches above your usual pub chef class as well. And pricing, more often than not, is fairly reasonable as well.

Oh, and a pint tastes absolutely sublime after a long hot round...

I second this idea

When I was a sales rep in Burlington I would always take clients to Millcroft for lunches and coffee. They have nice patio overlooking the course. Great food and great service 4 drinks out of 5 from me.:D

Also I don't think any of us would say no to dinner on the patio at Angus Glen some night.

The Rock has a nice patio overlooking #18 and has a good view of
golfers teeing off at #1 too!
... oh, and a nice bon fire to keep you warm at bag drop for those
cool spring or fall mornings!

Great thread Thimble!

Hey CL members:

eating at some of those CL courses' fine patios would be torture for me because I'm not a CL member and can't play the course :( ...

By the way, I'm sure I'm not the only non-CL member that really appreciates the Clublink events you guys have made possible for us public players. Thanks again! :D

I haven't been too keen on the patio's that exist at the regular restaurants and I haven't even considered a golf course as a substitute. As you mentioned, the golf course usually provides a service and food/drinks above and beyond what a typical restaurant may give as well!

I'll have to start golfing more often just to figure out who's is the best in my area!
