In my home town this weekend there was a golf expo and I tried the electronic distance and club head speed machine.Club head speed was 105 all 5 times and 254 was the distance. When I was done swinging the guy pulled me aside and told me that my hands were turning over why to early, which he said was robing me of power. My question is there a drill i can practice to cure this problem?:help:

When you set your wrists the device clicks and the idea is to swing through the ball trying hard not to let it unclick. It has worked for me.

Also, I would preset my wrists (see picture)and then take easy, slow swings working hard to maintain the wrist hinge coming through. Remember: The left wrist is flat, the right wrist is bent.

look at the photo in previous posting by [shadow] look where the hands are at the right side of his body.. if you now visualize that photo in reverse...that is where your hands should be on the left side of your body ...the space in the middle is release point ...hope that gives you more insight

golfnut2005, Here are the pictures I said I would post.

In these pics the left hander has his hands in front of his back thigh, while the club shaft is still short of parallel. This is an ideal position from which to have the club release. The righthander has his shaft just past parallel when his hands are in front of his back thigh.

Both are low handicap players, however, the lefty outhits the righty by 20 to 25 yards on the average. He is also 20 years younger, but who is counting?
