After watching the presidential debate, would you change your vote?
I highly doubt a debate would sway the vote of voting Americans, I think a high majority of Americans vote for a certain party, and then the others make up their mind depending on how the sitting president does during their term in office.

I agree with you, I think majority of voters do make up their mind before a leader's debate. In Canada the debate is more to showcase each party leader's platform. U.S. has a more dramatic style of debate that is more entertaining because it's one on one.

I would.......David Miller is a prime example of how important it is for you to win the debate.....the undecided voters......the ones still on the sidelines before election day base their decision on the debate.....Barbara Hall had a huge lead coming into the start of her campaign, but that fizzled so very fast because she was indecisive, had no clear objective and lost the debate!

Ego, you are one of the good ones...
voters that don't make their decision until the last day and find out all the facts first make the most informed decision!

I think a debate can sway some votes, but like others said, most have made a decision already based on loyalty to their party, peer influence, family influence and unfortunately, there aren't enough of those who actually listen to what is being said and what the promises are (though they never really keep them). I being guilty as one of them.

Unless you voted for the FIBERALS!!......
it's important as a candidate to know what % of voters are still undecided...if it's only 3%, it's not much of a difference....but when getting to the 10% range, and if ur close with ur opponents, it makes a world of difference to try and get the msg to them.....speaking as a statistician that is :p
