It seems like a pretty good system. Free tee-time booking, and up-to date info on a lot of courses. You have to become a GOLD member to get the free round of golf. When you sign up, you only get 200 points, and you need 400 to get a free round. Mind you, an extra 200 points is only about 5 bucks!

It is huge to get a tee time. Just have a credit card ready in the morning. I could not remember why, but you need one.

I used it last year in the Bracebridge Snow storm round.

I hate it when they ask for a credit card to book tee times. Makes me want to NOT play there. Also foreshadows being chased around by the marshall all day like we were at Copetown Woods. (hope they're not holding their breath waiting to see me again)

Here is the HUGE Catch. It will cost you either $4.00 per person, or $4.00 per four some.

Grass roots, if you are not game for a free round in April when you will probably freeze to death, or get rained on please do not tie up the server in the morning.

Why Did This Happen?
We are not yet 100% certain but here’s what we know. Just prior to 11:00 am before our Ontario Spring Into Golf promotion was opened, certain members used radical clicking strategies to ensure they would be the first to see the posted offers. We were prepared to be very busy, but not to have some members engineering enormous numbers of clicks within short periods of time. These radical clicking strategies resulted in the effective crash of our server – a first time experience. Many technical issues needed to be addressed in order to restart our server. We are very sorry for all the inconveniences this has caused.

I think it may apply to users who have this program that "clicks" repeatedly until they get in...they don't manually click it.......not sure tho

This is nothing new, I have often had problems with Golfmax. I vowed last year to never visit their site again.

Well as of this morning they are back up and running and everything is a go. I got a tee time for Millrun works for me for $18.00.

Melissa, the problems were only yesterday. The server crashed because some people were using clicking techniques.

Everything is fine now.

i cant believe they just added wooden sticks today!

i was looking for it last night, and of course when i saw it today its all booked up!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

anyway, i got my free foursome at deerfield (oakville) last night. well, almost free (had to pay $5/player as admin fee) its the only closest course that still had a decent tee time available (10 am).

$5 for a round of golf is not bad at all!!! :D

Last year I was watching their site the night before they said they were gonna start accepting bookings and was able to book a foursome at Wooden Sticks. Interesting course especially with strong winds and rain with 5C. After a nice two putt on 17 I walked off with a 9.(Sucker pin on bottom tier) Lets pray for warmer conditions this April

Sorry Mok..when I checked in there were three left...two for two o'clock and a single for just before. I grabbed the two. I love that course..played it for the first time last year and can't believe I got it for that price. Hell... I can't believe I already have a tee-off booked!!!!

when i checked there were 13, but it wouldnt' allow me to book that course. :(
