Oakridge is better than Pheasant.

You are right that I can't recommend one over the other. The one I have played, I like a lot. Nothing more. Nothing less. Maybe one day I can provide a less "divine intervention" answer.

Just my thoughts on this topic since I both enjoy both Oakridge and Pheasant Run.
My father is a retired pastor who used to play every Monday with his regular ministers golfing group at Pheasant Run since he learned to first play golf at PR before I started playing golf myself. With those days where it literally was free green fees, it was probably the only way my dad could afford to play or justify it to my mom..years later after I soon start to play golf myself my father takes me to PR as a replacement for one of his minister partner who was too sick to play in their regular Mon Free golf at Pheasant..was I ever excited to play with my dad for our very 1st match but its at PR (in the 80's Pheasant was considered high priced semi-private). We also lived in Mississauga at that time..my dad was more than happy to pay for my Green fee since he never paid for his for years, still awesome what they do today.
So even though I love the memories and the amazing views/colours at PR, I still prefer Oakridge. So much so that I have had 3 recent opportunities to choose from both these tracks to play and each time I chose to play Oakridge and don't regret not playing PR. Just my own opinion of course. Still have a lot of respect for PR, but enjoy the golf holes more at Oakridge. Sorry for long post.

Assuming that PR has not added any new holes or new 9s in the last 10 years, then my recollection is as follows:
The 'original course' was made up of the following holes:
1) Highlands #1
2) Southern Uplands #2-#9
3) Midlands #1-#5
4) Highlands #6-#9

1) I played Pheasant Run when it first opened and yes it was considered to be a high end public course at the time. Considered at least a 'notch' above some courses which are now considered more 'upscale' such as Cherry Downs at the time.
2) I honestly cannot remember if it was 18 or 27? Must be old age. My recollection was originally 18?
3) Like both Pheasant Run and Oakridge. Which you prefer depends on your location. whether you wish to walk or ride, whether or not you like narrower or a wider course, and of course the applicable fee.
