This thing is making waves and has earned ridiculously good reviews from all who have tried it. Anyone have any experience using it or installing it? Thanks

you didn't tell me you were in sales!

good point though! especially since it would be transferable to new drivers

            Re: Harrison Shotmaker

This definitely interests me, but probably moreso in a 3 wood than driver.

I saw the thread over in Golfwrx but just assumed it was a new Harrison shaft being discussed.

              Re: Harrison Shotmaker

Read through the posts on wrx and all the nunchuck threads including the 90 pager on sitd.

Seems both will help reduce sidespin with probably the nunchuck helping more on horrible swings.

The advantage it sounds like with the shotmaker is if you get fitted for a good shaft that works well this will work with that. (if it fits)

It'd also be of course cheaper to do driver/woods.

I have a feeling well fit driver/shaft combo + shotmaker would give you more distance and for the most part just as good dispersion as a nunchuck. But your nunchuck might be a bit better on your worst swings.

No objections on the cost, just curious why one wouldn't just get fitted for a proper "tip stiffened" shaft?

My Titileist fitting cost me $100+$50 for the "upgraded" Proforce V2 shaft (only because I bought the 910 driver). Net-net, same cost. Unless of course you're buying an exotic shaft. That's a bit of a different story.

I have no idea what youre referring to by "Nunchuck". I mean I know thats the name of s shaft out there but not sure how it related to this. I assume there is some sort of similar stability control built into that shaft? please explain since 90 pages on wrx isnt gonna happen for me

The Shotmaker is removable and can be used in various shafts.

                        Re: Harrison Shotmaker

If you want tip stability use a steel shaft

I would say rather than waste $150.......use a 43/43.5 inch driver with a lightweight steel shaft that costs $20 - 25 and I am willing to bet that almost 100% of you will achieve much greater accuracy than you do now and that you will with this $150 insert and your $100+ shaft .

and I doubt there will be a huge change in distance results, and that some will achieve longer drives

Stiff shaft claimed to be unlike any other out there.
Results seem to be if you follow the shaft designers recommendation of 43.5" length, D1 swing weight, 205 gr head people are hitting it straighter than ever. Which I presume is what you are after if you are looking at the shot-maker.

Both are pretty much the fad of the month in golf.

mine is 45 inch (from 45.5) and I haven't lost a ball of the driver in 4 rounds now. (was losing 2-3 a round) My misses are not as bad and FIR is up around 70% whereas before it was around 40%.

I heard about this after but seems to be relatively the same concept.

This is something I'd love to see tested in a good fitting. I would love to hit my driver, my driver w/Harrison shotmaker and my head with the Nunchuk.

Id say that in theory the shotmaker beats the nunchuk in the fact that you can optimize your shaft for ball flight an distance and then use the shotmaker but they're both interesting concepts.
