  • Re: Brooke Henderson

    Well done, Brooke!

She didn't make it easy on herself, a lot of approaches came up short and she left herself a lot of very grindey putts.

She must have been exhausted after that.

Was very nice to see her name and the Cdn flag up top the leaderboard for virtually the entire tournament. Reminded me of last year.

She and Lexi really put on a driving clinic.

That was awesome. Good for her going into the PGA Championship . . .

Congratulations to Brooke and family, that should take some weight off her shoulder.
Started worrying about her for awhile, but now all is good.

Congrats to one of our favourite Canadian gals !!
p.s. She was looking a little glum throughout this tourney, yes.
And, still think her Major win last year was one of the best final rounds to watch ever.

            • Good for you Brooke! You make us all proud.

I was pretty annoyed this morning when Q107 "news" update metioned Koepka winning US Open but no mention of Brooke's win.

              • Fun following her a bit on TV this tournament. Some tense moments but a lot of smiles t'ards the end!

At one point day 2 or 3 a commentator said she had her driver at six (6!) degrees. Co-commentator said she has to hit 'up' for that.

Or, maybe I just had wax in my ears.

This isn't a dress rehearsal. Enjoy yourself. There's no do-over.

                    • Brooke, along with Keegan Bradley, and Billy Andrade won a charity tournament against other LPGA, PGA, and Champions golfers. 2 wins in less than 24 hours is the caption. Good for her. Now have some time off this week and go back at it in the LPGA championship

LPGA stars will battle Phil Mickelson in a skills challenge broadcast on Facebook Live Monday, which will unofficially kick off the week for the LPGA's second major of the season.

Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko, Stacy Lewis and Mickelson are scheduled to compete in a chipping contest, where each will hit to a series of targets. An eight-foot wall will be placed between the golfers and targets in the second round, forcing them to hit flop shots over it; and the third round will feature a 20-foot glass wall with photos of all the competitors that the golfers will try to aim at and shatter.

The skills competition starts at 3:30 p.m. EST and can be watched on the LPGA's Facebook page. ESPN's Mike Greenberg will host a Q and A after the event.
