OK, now read this link about the non-profit status of the PGA Tour and its many charitable tournaments.
The strongest argument the charity beneficiaries have for the low funding is that they benefit from the PGA Tour exposure. Interesting debate.

Using The Childrens Miracle Network Tournament is a bit unfair. They had no corporate sponsor, and they expected a lot more out of a certain large corporation in the Orlando area.
It some ways, it comes down to would you rather the money (as small as it is) went to charity, or the government coffers ?
