Anyone see the latest LPGA commercial on GC with Michelle Wie? I saw it this past week, have only seen it once, but Michelle comes on and does the "these girls rock".
I am really impressed about how she has handled her career since the big contreversey of playing as a sponsor exempt in mens events. She went to school, got away from the game, took some time to just be a university student, obviously got her head on straight and now can assume a leading role in womens golf.
I was one who was against her choices of playing with the men, and I now wish her all the luck in the world to play well on the LPGA. She is just what the LPGA needs right now with no Annika, a fading Lorena Ochea, no American really stepping up to the plate and seeing more and more Koreans dominate the tour. Not against the Korean's they deserve to be there, but in terms of marketing, sponsors, purses etc the LPGA needs a recognizable face people can relate to.
She is definetly the Tiger of womens golf, I hope she wins this year and gets a major, and doesn't have a sex scandal in 10 years...lol!
