  • Toronto Golf & TRAVEL Show

First Nevada Bob's pulls out, then no GT.
Has the show lost it's way? Haven't been for years but recall plenty of travel info and some line ups for free Ontario golf. Used to have the little inventors with sometimes cool products but don't think that's still there. Any other reason to go? Any way to fix it? Is MG or GL going?
What would you do as show owner to bring back appeal?

New location with lower exhibition and parking rates might help.

I don't think people are READING the title....this show has never really been about EQUIPMENT....That's why Golf Town has a Store up the street from the show!

It's about Travel, Instruction, some smaller vendors, and BRANDING!

i noticed that neither Ping nor Titleist are listed to be at the show. Taylor Made, Mizuno will be there. Although there will be a Titleist ball fitting thing. The list of exhibitors aint that great (no offense to those companies going).

I looked this morning and neither was Nike, Callaway, and Wilson Staff (they were there the past two years). Im wondering if they have updated the website. Luckily I didnt pay for my ticket so I wont lose much if the show is a bust.

Wow what a disappointment. Only two manufacturers (Mixuno and TM); the past two years I've left with about five or six bags with stuff. This year: two. Even the wxhibitors were telling me how much it sucked. Even if I get free tickets next year, I dont think its worth the extra time.

There were more clubs for sale but without a good launch monitor, Id never by a club even at the prices they were selling them.

Maybe the name needs a change to the "Toronto Golf Travel Show" and leave the & out!

I stopped going a couple of years back. By the time you pay for parking or transit, admission and any refreshments, I always felt letdown on the way home.

It doesn't sound as though it's improved any. Which is sad! It was the one show I looked forward to every spring.

                    Oh well

This year more than most. There are still some golf stuff (putting mats, fitness stuff, apparel) but for manufacturers not to show up in a year like this when manufacturers like Titleist, Nike, Callaway, Ping, Cobra, Wilsonhavve new stuff (not just clubs but balls as well) really made the show underwhelming. Maybe they should do it in april at a course somewhere...and its not just us the shoppers who noticed it. Exhibitors too. And I dont know why theyd spend the money on something like this.

After an hour, i was bored.

...I prefer that type of idea as well, usually Hidden Lakes has a good "Demo Day"

I remember when this show was exciting as the new product was there for the first time. You could hit all the new clubs before anybody else.

Now all of the OEMs do staggered launchs. No more surprises when you get to the show.
