I don't mean to sound cheap, but I've only started golfing last year, and I was looking for courses that are more affordable so I can play more often. If any one can help me out I would really appreciate it. It's just that ranges are great, but it is completly different when playing on a course. Thanks.

Re: Cheap Courses
I hear you...there are lots of courses in the GTA that charge way too much for the quality. Depending on your budget, I would say a cheaper course would be somewhere around the $40 range? Deer Creek South in Ajax is about there. If you're willing to drive up NE to Pines of Georgina in Pefferlaw, great course for $40. Most cheaper courses I know though are usually a little further away or they're shorter courses. Check the Course Review forum for some reviews. There is a thread about Gems around the city."Bessie Braddock: Sir, you are drunk.
Churchill: And you, madam, are ugly. But in the morning, I shall be sober."

Uplands is on Yonge and Hwy 7 (south)... It is a beautiful and challenging 9-hole course... It has one of the famous PAR-3 hole...

But until April 24, M-T is $1 a hole and W-F is $2 a hole.
Played yesterday afternoon. Long round (5 hours basically), a few provisional greens, etc. But definately can't complain for $18. I don't think i'd pay the regular summer weekend rate of $56 or whatever it is, but it's a decent course if you can play for cheap.

Re: Cheap Courses
